Ways to Give

The ASE Foundation can accept charitable donations in a number of convenient and flexible ways.

The easiest way to make a donation is online by clicking the Donate Now button below. Online donations can be made using credit card or PayPal.

Questions? Call 919-297-7169 or email Foundation@asecho.org.

ASEF is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and gifts may be tax deductible to the fullest extent of United States law. Receipts for donations and any other ASE transactions can be found your ASE Portal. Log in here to access your receipts.

Donation of Stocks and Securities

Gifts of appreciated securities are a great way to transmit assets to ASEF as charitable contributions. Regardless of the method of transferring stock, as per IRS regulations the value of the stock gift is calculated on the date the transfer is received by the ASE Foundation or its broker.

Donation of Honoraria

You can donate honoraria from both ASE- and non-ASE projects.
Are you interested in donating your honoraria from a project you are completing with the ASE?  You can donate your ASE honoraria and select one of ASEF’s initiatives for the funds to be allocated. Once all the paperwork is processed, you will receive a receipt by email.

Are you interested in donating honoraria from outside speaking engagements?  The company engaging the speaker will coordinate the transfer of funds directly with ASEF. ASEF will fill out all of the forms, and the donation is processed directly to ASEF.

Monthly Sustaining Contributor

An easy way to give to the Foundation is through monthly automatic payments, charged to your credit card each month on the date you choose. Your annual contribution total can be divided into payments for any amount, and can be started or stopped at any time. Anyone can join this dedicated group! To enroll online, select the “Monthly – I want to become a Sustainer”  button on the donation page. Here you can set the amount you’d like to donate and the number of months you’d like to donate for (or choose lifetime). You can also email foundation@asecho.org and we would be happy to set this up for you!

Pledges

A pledge can be made to a designated initiative of the Foundation for any amount. Pledges can be annual or multi-year in commitment, but have a hard start and stop date. A pledge fulfillment schedule will be arranged with you, and a reminder will be sent when the pledge nears completion.

Memorial and Honorary Gifts

Gifts of any type may be made in honor of, or in memory of, a specific individual. This is a special way to honor the memory of someone, or to recognize the accomplishments of a colleague, professor, or mentor. The ASEF will send a notification to the honoree regarding gifts made in this way.

Charitable Bequest

A charitable bequest is the most popular type of planned gift and offers you the satisfaction of knowing that your gift will benefit the Foundation for years to come. It is a flexible planning tool that can be created or changed with relative ease over your lifetime. With a bequest, which is a gift made at death through a will or trust document, you can provide a specific dollar amount, a specific asset, or a portion of your estate that remains after other gifts are made to family or friends. Bequests can be allocated to a specific initiative or left to the area of greatest need. Bequests are generally made using the advice of a legal advisor or estate planning professional.

Last Will and Testament

An easy (and tax-wise!) way to support a dynamic future for our speciality is to remember the ASE Foundation in your will. If you have yet to create a will, the process to include a gift is relatively straight forward. Just provide our official information, below, to your estate planning attorney. If you already have a will, you can write a new one, which makes any wills you have created in the past null and void. Or use a codicil, a document which will allow you to modify, delete, or revoke anything you like in your will. It can be a simple way to make minor amendments such as changing the amount of a gift or adding a gift to a specific charity.

To make your bequest to the ASE Foundation, please use the following language:
“To the ASE Education and Research Foundation, I hereby give $______ (or _______%) of my estate.”

Credit Card

Gifts can be made online at any time. You can designate which initiative the donation is allocated towards when you make the donation.

PayPal

Gifts can be made online at any time using your PayPal account. At check out, select “Pay with PayPal”. You will have to log into PayPal to authorize the charge.

Cash or Check

ASE staff can accept cash and check donations at any ASE meeting. Gifts of cash are available for immediate use by the Foundation and are usually fully tax deductible for donors who itemize their deductions. Checks can also be mailed to P.O. Box 890082, Charlotte, NC 28289-0082. Please specify the initiative you would like to donate towards in the memo section of your check.
