Research
The ASE Foundation plays a crucial role in supporting the progress and future of our field through investment in the discovery process and in the careers of investigators.
“Receiving the Pamela S. Douglas Research Scholar Award was critical to my trajectory as a researcher. Since receiving this funding from the ASE Foundation, I have been awarded an American Heart Association Career Development Award, selected for the Clinical Leaders and Academic Scholars Fellowship, Research Leadership track at University of Illinois College of Medicine, and received two internal pilot grants to further my echo artificial intelligence work. The support of ASE and the Foundation make such a difference for early career echo investigators as they get their research legs under them!”

Professional Development
No matter where you are in your career, the ASE Foundation can support your professional development. The Foundation offers numerous student, sonographer, and fellow travel grants and scholarships to support training and educational conference participation.
"Support like this genuinely changes what’s possible for a trainee, opening doors that would be out of reach without it. I’m grateful to the ASE Foundation and its donors for investing in fellows like me."

Global Health Outreach
The ASE Foundation brings adult and pediatric cardiac care to areas in need, teaches local clinicians and provides direct patient services to at-risk communities. We also support the translation and dissemination of ASE’s practice guidelines and patient care protocols to the global community.
Patient Education
The ASE Foundation strives to empower patients to talk to their medical professionals about the use of cardiovascular ultrasound in their diagnostic plans and ongoing treatment.
